How to Create an Anchor Link within a Page

I used to know how to do this, but it’s been a while. I want to link some text to scroll down to a lower section on the same page. I’ve been searching the KB and forum and can’t for the life of me find anything that says how to do it.

This is the pages I’m working on.

The best instructions I found are here: https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/anyone-know-how-to-create-anchor-links/13667 - but I’ve tried this link format and it’s not working. How can I get some text from say Section 2 of my page to link down to Section 5 at the bottom? Thanks!

Hello Jennifer,

Thanks for writing in!

Please create your page with sections. In the section settings, find the “Customize” tab and then insert the section ID, for example, “section-5” which I am referring to the section 5 of the page. In your section 2, you can insert a text element and link a text using this: #section-5.

If nothing is working, please provide us access to your site so that we can check how did you do with your settings. You can create a secure note and insert the WP credentials in your next reply. To know how to create a secure note, please check this out: https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/how-to-get-support/288

Best Regards.

Yup, that worked. I was close - thanks for getting me all the way there!

You’re welcome!
We’re glad we were able to help you out.
