Help Securing Media on Site

I’m not able to get the “lock” in my url. I have an SSL certificate, and my media all appears to be coming from urls with HTTPS, but for some reason I’m not getting the secured status.

I’ve tried using a couple Force SSL plugins, and they just make all my images non-viewable.

Please help.

Hi Jeffrey,

Please install the Better Search Replace plugin then do the following:

search for http://alternativedeliverysystems.com and replace it with https://alternativedeliverysystems.com and
search for http:\/\/alternativedeliverysystems.com and replace it with https:\/\/alternativedeliverysystems.com

Please also make sure that you unclick the Run Dry option so that the changes will take effect.

Hope this helps.

Jade, thanks for the reply.

I executed on this and I’m still not showing the “lock” on the website URL. Please help!

Hi Jeffrey,

Thanks for providing the login details. I did some further checking and there are some resources on the pages that get loaded from http://gator4301.temp.domains/~remotely.

Is this URL the staging URL of your site? If so, kindly search for:

search for http://gator4301.temp.domains/~remotely and replace it with https://alternativedeliverysystems.com and
search for http:\/\/gator4301.temp.domains/~remotely and replace it with https:\/\/alternativedeliverysystems.com

Hope this helps.

Jade,

This was the domain the site was built on, but then we changed it to the current domain. When running the http://gator4301.temp.domains/~remotely URL it doesn’t come back with any cells that need updated.

The first one did though, but not seeing a secure site yet.

We are good to go now. Thanks for all of your help.

You’re welcome!
We’re glad we were able to help you out.
