Headline typing, can't use HTML tags

In cornerstone editor, the headline typing option works just as intended, but on live page it displays all the html tags from prefix and suffix. Is there a way to fix this?

Hello Thomas,

Thanks for asking.

Please try using Cornerstone Raw Content element to add the HTML codes. In case problem is still there, please try out following solutions:

  1. Please make sure that X Theme and Cornerstone is up to date. You can take a look at following page for version information. https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/troubleshooting-version-compatibility/195
  2. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third-party plugins, and see if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

If you still have problems kindly get back to us with the result of the steps above and URL/User/Pass of your WordPress dashboard using the Secure Note functionality of the post to follow up the case.

Thank you.

I don’t think this is an issue with anything other than the Headline element itself. HTML tags work fine but with the typing, it breaks and doesn’t accept raw html. Anyway, for anybody with the same problem where you want to add html to the headline and use typing, use typed.js as there is no work around.

Hello Thomas,

Thanks for updating the thread!

You are right HTML code doesn’t work in typing heading element. If you want to use HTML code you have to use custom JS code.

Thanks
