Header on Blog Error

I keep getting a caching error while trying to edit our blog’s header (I’ve turned caching off). While attempting to make minor edits to that header, I was getting an error, so I duplicated the header, made my edits (which was to set the BLOG title to all caps), and then tried to assign it and had a lot of difficulty doing so. How can I get this resolved?

Hi Mary,

Let’s keep this thread about the error message you get on the header builder. You are certainly welcomed to open yup separate threads for each additional questions that you have.

The specific header that you talked about seems to have some content that is redirected from another source and that seems to be the problem cause. Please check the secure note for more information.

Thank you.

I have some blog pages redirected, but not the header. Nothing like that has been added to the header. How can that be removed?

Hi Mary,

Upon further checking, I see that you’re using an older version of Pro theme (v2.2.5). The latest version of Pro theme is v2.4.6 as you can see here (https://theme.co/changelog/) and I would suggest you to update to the latest version by following our guide here (https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/setup-updating-your-themes-and-plugins/62).

Then make sure to clear full cache and test your issue again. You can refer to the following resource if required (https://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/how-to-clear-your-cache-in-wordpress/). Also I would suggest you to disable your redirection plugin while you’re testing.

Let us know how it goes.
Thanks!

Alright, I updated and cleared cache and it’s behaving the same as it was. The problem is still present. No redirected content was ever added to the header.

Hello Mary,

Thanks for updating the thread.

I duplicated the header and it was working fine. However when i assigned the header to the post page it started giving the error message. Then I noticed that you have not assigned Posts page under Settings > Readings > Posts page. I created a sample page and then assigned the same as posts page. After that I assigned the header again and it’s working fine now. For now I have removed the post page assignment under Settings > Readings > Posts page. Please select the posts page and then re-assign the header.

After making the changes please make sure to clear cache.

Thanks.

That looks like it corrected it

Glad to hear that, we are delighted to assist you with this.

Cheers,
