Header Conten

I had to reinstall my theme and lost some of my design.

I am trying to recreate the design from my demo site to the live site. The top info call us and 2 logos next to the site logo show up as widget areas when i go to the customize. Also the bottom black bar above the footer is setup the same way.

I cant seem to recreate that on the live site. https://millersseptic.com

Hello @proximomktg,

Thanks for asking.

If http://millersnow.proximomktg.com/ is the test server on which you have designed the website, I wonder why you are trying to create the same layout on the live website from scratch. I checked the contents and it seems to same on both the website.

Let me suggest you a simpler solution:

  1. In case you are trying to recreate entire website including content: If you are trying to recreate exact same website on the live server, then you can copy the website files including database and move that fro demo site to live website. You can take a look at following article to move the website. Although second article talks about moving WordPress from local to live website, but the concept and steps remains the same in your case.

  2. Replicate just the layout: In case you just want to replicate the layout and not in favour of moving entire website. In this case you can download the theme files from demo server and upload the same on your live website. Doing so will automatically replicate the website layout. To do that you need to download the theme files from /wp-admin/themes/ and download X folder. After that you can upload the same via FTP under /wp-admin/themes/ or from WordPress theme uploader. You will have to delete existing X Theme. You can take a look at following article to get started with FTP:

Let us know how it goe.

Thanks.
