The code modification did not work because your child theme is not yet activated.

Please activate your child theme instead.

I downloaded the child theme from your site. If I activate it, will the site look as it does now? How can I fix this ASAP?

Hello @Liliaf,

A child theme. This allows you to make code changes that won’t be overwritten when an X update is released.

Before doing the child theme switch, please do this:

  • In your WordPress, go to X > Validation and find the Theme Options Manager.
  • Export your theme options by downloading it to your local computer.
  • Once uploaded and installed, activate your child theme
  • Go back to X > Validation > Theme Option Manager and import the previous downloaded XCS file. This is to make sure that you will have the same settings.

Your child theme is active and using the previous theme option settings. The code modification in the child theme should be working afterwards. You site will look as it does now since it inherits all the features, functions, etc from the parent theme.
