Google Map Element not showing map

I am receiving a error code when I have entered the correct API code from Google maps. My X Theme is updated and backed up. I have no plug ins that would compromise the map. My url is http://www.conqueringlife.co.uk can you please advise

Hey @omran,

I’ve inspected the code of your front-end pages and I don’t see a Google Map setup. Please give us the specific URL where you’ve added the map. Also check if you have set API key restriction. See https://developers.google.com/maps/faq#switch-key-type

Hey Christian, I deleted the container last evening after my previous attempt failed. I read in the forum that someone had succeeded to right the problem by deleting the original container and placing a new one: I had already tried to place this new container and element but the classic control did not appear to work? I still don’t see a map in the page. Would you mind giving us a screenshot of your setup and WP Admin access in a Secure Note? When you said:

Are you referring to the embed code?

I tested embedding the code in my test site and it works both in Cornerstone and the front-end.

Hi Christian

Thanks for your reply, you won’t see it because I deleted the original container, i then duplicated it and tried to add the google map element from within cornerstone. I placed the embed short code as you advised but the map still did not show. What do you need to look further?

Can you show us how you’re adding the map? I created a test page in your site and the map shows (see Secure Note)

Thank you for embedding the map Christian - please don’t delete it because its closest I’ve come to having a map in a week lol. Here is a screenshot of where i am, and i do not know how to get to the settings that you have in yours. Please advise. Screenshot coming separately

Hey @omran,

Click on the Elements tab.

Search for “map”

Insert the Map element to your section and then paste the embed code in the Embed box like in my previous screenshot.
