Google adsense ads not displaying after update

Hi there,

we generate some money with implementing Google Adsense on our website.
After updating to the latest versions, the ads don’t show anymore.

It is a problem with cornerstone or x theme, because we have another blog post that is uploaded trough ftp and the ads display correctly on there.

Example of blog post that doesnt display the ads anymore: https://www.kopstorm.com/blog/wat-is-in-2019-het-beste-tijdstip-om-te-posten-op-instagram/

Example of uploaded html file that does work: https://www.kopstorm.com/bmi/index.html

What do i need to do?

thanks!

Hello @ElliotMersie,

Thanks for writing in!

Pro 3.0.4 is now available in automatic updates! This release contains fixes for several issues, like you have mentioned above, so be sure to check out the changelog (https://theme.co/changelog/). Please do update to the latest version. After doing the updates, always remember to clear all caches when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.

After doing the updates, always remember to clear all caches since you have installed WP SuperCache so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.

And please clear your browser cache too. You may use private browsing mode in testing your site to make sure that you are viewing the latest codes from the updates and not the cached version in your browser.

Please let us know how it goes.

Hi there,

U can see that the ads display in the editor.
But on the live site they disappear.

I already updated cornerstone and x theme to 3.0.4

If i open our blog on my Mac pro on chrome, it does display the ads.
But on my macbook and iphone x it doesnt.

Weird…

Hey @ElliotMersie,

I see that ad in your HTML page but not on the WordPress page. This doesn’t immediately mean that it’s our theme that is causing the issue because it’s only a part of WordPress and there could be another WordPress part that is causing the issue like a third-party plugin. We’re sorry if this wasn’t made clear in our previous response.

The Google Ads system uses Javascript, so I opened the browser’s console to see if there is a Javascript error that could point to a conflict. I saw an error that is not coming from any of our products.

Before we investigate, we first need to ensure if the issue is really caused by our products and not by third-party factors. Please do the following troubleshooting steps first. Check if the issue persists after each step.

  1. You already done this. Thank you. Ensure everything is up to date according to our version compatibility list at https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/troubleshooting-version-compatibility/195. Please follow the best practices when updating your theme and plugins. See https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/setup-updating-your-themes-and-plugins/62 for more details.

  2. I see you’re using WP Super Cache, please clear all caches (contact the caching plugin developer if you’re not sure how to do this) then temporarily deactivate your caching plugin and other optimization plugins if you have any. Also clear the browser cache in your Mac Pro, Macbook and iPhone. Do not activate the caching plugin while the issue persists as it is hard to investigate issues when caching is enable.

  3. If you’re using a CDN, please clear the CDN’s cache and disable optimization services.

  4. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

Thanks.

Hi there,

thanks for the help!

i figured out the problem, it came from a plugin called ‘Complianz Privacy Suite’
i deactivated it and the ads show correctly now.

Thanks

Glad to hear that you figured it out.
