Getting sidebar to show on a single category page

I need to add a sidebar to a specific category page:

http://www.tellyourstory.com.php7-33.phx1-2.websitetestlink.com/category/blog/

There are other category pages but I DO NOT want to show a sidebar in those pages.

Is there a good way to do this?

Thanks!

Hello @juanp83,

Thanks for asking.

Please create a sidebar under Appearance > Sidebar. When it comes to assigning the sidebar under All Taxonomies, select the category name.

Next, under Appearance > Widgets add widgets in newly created sidebar. You can read more about sidebar in our knowledge base article:

Thanks.

Okay, I was able to get the sidebar working, but its displaying on three of my category pages:

http://www.tellyourstory.com.php7-33.phx1-2.websitetestlink.com/category/blog/
http://www.tellyourstory.com.php7-33.phx1-2.websitetestlink.com/category/stories/
http://www.tellyourstory.com.php7-33.phx1-2.websitetestlink.com/category/impact/

But I ONLY want to display it on this one:

http://www.tellyourstory.com.php7-33.phx1-2.websitetestlink.com/category/blog/

and disable it on the other pages. Is there a way to do that?

Nevermind, I found a solution. Used the blog filtering option and then just set the dropdown to display none for the main blog post page. Added the sidebar to that page, and then removed it from archive pages (which also removes it from category pages.

Glad you’ve sorted it out.
