FOUC In Header Only

Hello, on https://wetried.it I’m getting a really bad FOUC in the header on the homepage. I’m not getting it anywhere else. I’m assuming this has to do with the way the headers are built a bit differently than the pages. Any suggestions? I’ve looked everywhere to find a solution.

Hi,

Thanks for writing in! Regretfully, at this time I am not entirely certain what it is you would like to accomplish based on the information given in your email. If you wouldn’t mind providing us with a little more clarification on what it is you’re wanting to do (a link to a similar example site would be very helpful, or perhaps some screenshots), we’ll be happy to provide you with a response once we have a better understanding of the situation.

If you go to https://wetried.it, the header area, specifically the “We’re 2.5 lifehackers…” copy, loads initially as Helvetica (I believe) for a second, then switches over to the font it should be (Alegreya Sans). The desired behavior is it simply showing as Alegreya Sans, without the Helvetica “flash.” I’m not having this issue anywhere else on the site, just in the header.

Is that more clear? Sorry for before!

Hey There,

Alegreya Sans is not loaded in the page. Please make sure that you have set it in X > Launch > Options > Typography setting the Body and Content to “Alegreya Sans” or if you are using Font Manager, please go to X > Launch > Templates > Fonts and make sure that you have defined your font so that Alegreya Sans will be loaded into the site.

And after making any changes since you are using CloudFlare, please purge your site cache before testing your site. For best results, please use the recommended CloudFlare settings which can be found here: https://xthemetips.com/using-cloudflare-rocket-loader-with-x-pro-and-x5/928/

Please let us know how it goes.

It’s selected, see image: https://pasteboard.co/H4TKdvr.png

Also, you’ll see that every font is duplicated. I’ve deleted the duplicates several times, but they keep on coming back. I’m not sure what is going on with that.

Thanks!

Hi,

Sorry but I’m confused, the site that you are having an issue with is https://wetried.it ?

But the login provided is for dandoadvisors.com

Can you please clarify.

Thanks

So sorry! I had both open at the same time! Attached to this reply.

Hello There,

I have logged in and I found out that the text is using ‘inherit’ as the font family. You should select it’s own font family to avoid the issue.

I went ahead and edited the text element. I also removed the p tags. All these changes will not be reflected just yet. Please purge your site cache first before testing your site.

Hope this helps.
