Footer troubleshoot

Hello,

I added my legal language to my footers and they repeated themselves and look funny? I would like them to be in the black footer where they can be

Hi Ryan,

Thanks for writing in! I have checked your site URL and I see those duplicated widget areas. Could you please remove them from your Appearance -> Widgets -> Footer areas.

Then head over to X -> Theme Options -> Footer section, then add the following code into your Footer Content area and set your page links properly.

<p><a href="http://link.to/page">Disclaimer</a> | <a href="http://link.to/page">Privacy Policy</a></p>

Another option would be to create a Footer menu by head over to Appearance -> Menus section.

Then you can assign those pages to your Footer menu created.

Finally, head over to X -> Theme Options -> Footer area and enable Footer Menu.

Hope that helps.

Hello,

I did what you recommended with the first option and it does not bring up my terms of use nor does it let me click on them to open them? It will only let me open the disclaimer.

Hi Ryan,

Thanks for updating in! To assist you better with this issue, would you mind providing us the url of your site with login credentials so we can take a closer look? This is to ensure that we can provide you with a tailored answer to your situation.

To do this, you can create a secure note with the following info:
– Link to your site

Thank you.

Hello,

I shared in a secure note.

Thanks

Hi Ryan,

The credentials are incorrect, please provide the working one.

Have you added the other items on the menu?

Thanks!

I’ve update.

Thanks

They are now, I need the Terms of Conditions,Privacy Policy, and Disclaimer at the bottom.

Thanks

Hi Ryan,

The credential still doesn’t work:

Could you please double check again?

Thank you.

Hi @rmullins,

I’ve updated the footer content for you.

Everything looks good now.

Cheers!

Awesome thank you!!!

One more question, can we make the letters all black in the disclaimer, privacy policy, terms of use? Some are light blue…

Hi Ryan,

The last login credentials you provided is not working again, please check.

Those texts became light blue because they are wrapped on an <a> tag, even though they are linked. Please edit those text and remove all the <a> tag and closing </a> tag on those text.

Thanks,

Hello Ryan,

The text becomes blue when it is a link. You can change the link color and link hover color in X > Theme Options > Typography > Site Links. You should be able to use the color picker for the respective link and link hover color.

Hope this helps.
