Footer disappeared!

Hi There

Our footer seems to have disappeared on http://exchangedata.wpengine.com. See staging site for how it should display: http://exchangestg.wpengine.com.

We were just editing the text weight in the footer and it suddenly went. It is still assigned globally - see screen. We’re running X Pro 2.5.5.

Thanks

Mark

Hi Mark,

I checked and can see the footer is empty. Can you try deleting your text element, add a new one and add your content back.

If that doesn’t help, please provide us your wordpress admin login in Secure Note so we can take a closer look.

Thanks Paul

It was actually quicker to restore to a previous version and make all the changes again as recreating the footer would have taken quite a while. However I’ve filmed the bug for you here https://youtu.be/iIOmy3oWjjo. I’ve actually had this happen on other X Pro sites too.

Let me know if you have any idea why this is happening.

Thanks

Mark

Hello Mark,

Thanks for updating the thread and sharing the video screencast.

It’s a bit difficult for us to comment as to why footer is disappearing without taking a look at the website. I haven’t faced this problem in past working with footer builder. However, looking at the outset, please try out following:

  1. Please see if PHP memory limit is set to 512MB. Please take a look at following tutorial for more instructions. Please Click here.
  2. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third-party plugins, and see if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

If you could share website login details in secure note so we can take a closer look at the setup.

Thanks.
