Font Color Not Changing

Hello,

I have set my body font color to grey in Cornerstone under Options - Typography, but it still appears black by default in elements.

Unfortunately this is still on my local machine, so I cannot post a link.

What am I doing wrong?

Hi,

Thanks for writing in!

  1. Can you specify which elements that wasn’t affected by the typography settings .

Please note that some elements has a color settings and that overrides your global settings.

For example, - Headline Element. has it’s own color settings and it if you set one it will override the typography settings.

  1. Another one that might cause the issue is caching plugin. It’s possible to implement a change, and not have it take place because a cached version of the page or various resources are loading instead of the latest version.

Please make sure to clear your plugin cache and browser cache after changing settings.

  1. You could try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

  2. Can you confirm that you are fully updated? (Theme and Plugins)

You can find the latest version numbers here: (http://theme.co/changelog/) Then you can compare them to what’s installed on your site.

If you find anything to be out of date, you can review our update guide.

  1. Make sure that your theme and plugins are compatible.

Thanks for the quick response :slight_smile:

My problem is with the Text Element. I know this has its own color setting, by I would have thought this defaults to the Typography setting?

I do not have any caching or other plugins installed. This is a fresh up to date install of the theme.

HI @Jansen,

Classic Text Element follows the default Typography Settings however the V2 Element, you could change the text color in your design text element tab.
