FlaGallery won't load until mouse move or tap

I know this is a plugin issue but I’ve contacted the plugin developer and they haven’t been able to find a fix. I’m hoping you can help because you guys are awesome!

I have some galleries at https://www.singh-ray.com/galleryyy.

It’s using the FlaGallery plugin. It works fine in Chrome, Firefox and Explorer but in Safari, when you click a gallery to view it, the page is white and nothing loads until you move your mouse (on a MacBook) or tap the screen (on an iPad).

Another way to view the code behind the scenes is to look at one of the gallery-specific lading pages (the same page opens from /galleryyy but it’s in a popup window, using this url it opens in a regular window. Same issue happens either way. A sample gallery-specific page is: https://www.singh-ray.com/flagallery/adam-barker/

Hello @kvpadmin,

Thanks for asking.

I tested your website on Safari and it seems to working fine on my end. Here is a screencast. https://cl.ly/0M1x312R001z

Thanks.

Yes… you moved your mouse on the screen and THEN it loaded. If you’re careful not to move the mouse after you click to open a gallery, you will see it doesn’t load. Super weird right?

Hi @kvpadmin,

I am another support staff, I do want to help you and see if there is a way I can find why this is happening. The problem is like my colleague I could not replicate the issue you are describing. That is why I am not able to help you on this matter.

The only thing which I can think of is that you make sure that you use the latest version of the Safari browser which is 11.1. Here is what I see on my Macbook Safari:

I was very careful to have no mouse over the page.

Finally, as this is a 3rd party plugin problem it is outside of our support scope, we do our best to support such cases as much as we can, but the problem is that we are not the right people as we do not know the ins and outs of the plugin. Honestly, if the plugin developer can’t help it is most probably that we can’t either.

I suggest that you consider the Envira Gallery which is an extension bundled with our theme.

Thank you for your understanding.
