Can you please tell me some css to force the image in the lsider on the home page to fit so the entire image showswithout white space on the side?

Can you please share some screenshot of issue you are facing. On my end I don’t see any white space around slider. Please see screenshot.

The client wants to show more of the foot picture.

You can set the Background Fit option to contain in the slider’s Source Settings:
