Fixed navigation covering section headers

I basically have the same problem described here: https://theme.co/apex/forums/topic/fixed-navigation-covering-section-headers/

When I click on one of the anchor links in the menu, the top part of the section the link refers to is covered. I have one-page navigation enabled, but it doesn’t seem to make a difference. I don’t hava the problem when using the footer menu.

The site is https://grgipfel.org/

Any help would be much appreciated!

Hi @playability,

Thank you for writing in, I see that you applied the ID on the Headline element. Please remove the ID from headlines and apply it on the Section itself.

Hope it helps,
Cheers!

Hi, thanks for your reply!

This seemed to fix the issue at first, but it only works once: After I refresh the page, the menu works correctly, but when I want to navigate to another section the offset is still there. Is there anything else I can do to fix this?

Hi @playability,

Unfortunately, this is a known bug on the available latest version. See this thread for the detailed explanation by Christian. I just visited the report too about this issue, and I can see the fixed will be available on the next release. Please bear with us. Thank you.

Hi Lely, thanks for your reply.

As recommended for a temporary fix, I downgraded to version 7.0.4 but I still have the same problem. I really need this website to work by next week, so even a temporary fix would be much appreciated.

Hey Julian,

Please try the adding the previous One Page Navigation code from an old version of our theme. See https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/section-ids-not-accounting-for-menu-height/66589/4?u=christian_y

Hope that helps.

Thanks, Christian, that did the trick!

I’m very happy my navigation is working again.
