Favicon problem

Hi there, I have a favicon problem in this site: https://www.ambrosimeccanica.com

If I log into the backend appears a old favicon event though I have set the righ image in “site icons” of x-theme options. On the front end this not happens.

My client for now can’t update, so can you help me to discover where is this old favicon and delete it? Thank you very much.

Hi Alessandro,

Thank you for reaching out to us. I checked your setup and I see you’re using an outdated version of X and Cornerstone. Please update both to the latest versions first. You can find the latest version numbers here: (http://theme.co/changelog/) Then you can compare them to what’s installed on your site.

If you find anything to be out of date, you can review our update guide. Then head over to WP Admin > Appearance > Customize > Site Identity > Site Icon and upload your image (see screenshot)

Thank you Nabeel, but as I have already wrote, my client can’t update for now. I think there’s the same a solution, is it right?

Hi Alessandro,

What icon are you trying to use this time? Here is what I am seeing right now:

Try clearing your browser cache as the server might be caching the favicon file. Also you may also try converting the ico file to a png file and replace it in the theme options settings.

Let us know how it goes.

On front end the icon is correct and it’s what you are seeing. If you connect to the backend intead appear an old favicon.

Hi Alessandro,

I see the following icon on both front-end and back-end.

Upon checking your issue further, it could be because of you’re using an older version of X theme (6.0.4) and Cornerstone plugin (2.1.3).

The latest version of X theme is (6.5.5) and Cornerstone (3.5.4) as you can see here (https://theme.co/changelog/).

Since there’s no caching plugins on the site, the best way would be to update your theme and plugins to resolve the issue (https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/setup-updating-your-themes-and-plugins/62).
