Attempted to address this with host support. “I tried running a command to force an update, but it responded with “Already Updated”. If possible, I think the error can be resolved by manually copying over the theme files using FTP.”

It looks like the installation is not completed. Please check this for manual update https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/setup-updating-your-themes-and-plugins/62 (Manual Updates)
You’ll have to extract the theme’s zip package (using any unpacking software like WinRAR, WinZIP, or any equivalent depending to your operating system) and upload it through FTP to /wp-content/themes/ folder path. The resulting folder should be /wp-content/themes/x/, where x` is the X theme folder.
