Expanded Ethos demos

Hello,

I would like to use one of the expanded demo sites for Ethos but I’m unsure of how to start. I am using the updated version of pro-released yesterday.

I found this link but unfortunately, it didn’t help me much, sorry.

First, I was trying to find where I could back up my current site and theme.

Secondly, I haven’t been able to find the expanded themes or how to install them. Should I be looking on the apex website or within X Pro on my site?

You can check out all our demos here: https://theme.co/x/#demos

You wanted to install the Ethos expanded demos. These are our expanded demo contents using Ethos stack.

You can install these by going to X > Overview > Demo Contents (X 5.x.xx or later) or X > Validation > Demo Contents (X 6.0 onwards )

Hi,

thank you for your quick response. I was incorrect on part of my question. I’m actually to get my site to look like ethos standard demo #1.

I’m using Pro. How can I basically start over with a new child theme to make it look like demo #1?

Hi there,

Pro theme doesn’t have any demo import feature due to its feature (header and footer). But, switching to ethos stack in Theme Options > Stack should be enough, since importing the demo doesn’t guarantee the same look. You will still have to configure your carousels, slider, and ethos blog index. There is no expanded ethos demo (identical copy), and standard demo (placeholder copy) still requires filling in to complete it.

You can also check our knowledge base about Ethos configuration, the Ethos 1 is the basic one that features post slider, carousel, filterable index . Doing that will give you the Ethos 1 look.
