The excerpt text on my blog index page seems to be pulling from random parts of the page, not the first words of the first paragraph.
In Cornerstone, is there a way to mark what text you want to use for excerpt? Or do you have to manually copy the text, then exit Cornerstone to paste into the excerpt field in edit post?

It seems that you are still using an older version of the theme. Could you please update to the latest versions first?
Our latest versions are:
- X theme 6.5.5
- Cornerstone 3.5.4
This latest release contains fixes for several issues so be sure to check out the changelog (http://theme.co/changelog/).
_After doing the updates, always remember to clear all caches (if you are using WP Rocket, WP SuperCache or W3 Total Cache) when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.-
