Hi Isa,
Thanks for writing in! As mentioned on the info description on your screenshot, there are main break-point triggers on X/Pro themes which will fire on certain device widths (for example desktop, tabs, mobile etc). To understand it better, please refer to our hide during break-point tutorial here (https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/hide-during-breakpoint-explained/17378).
So if you choose scaling mode, you can set minimum and maximum font sizes so it will be scaled according to the screen size. If you choose stepped mode, you can select font sizes for each of your breakpoints for example extra small (SM), small (SM), medium (MD), large (LG), extra large (XL) screens.
