Ethos carousel on top is gone

How do I get it back? and Why when no one touched the page did it go away?

Hello @visinno,

Thanks for writing in! There is a JS error in your site which affects the display of the post carousel. Can you please update to the latest versions?
Our latest versions are:

  • X theme 6.5.6
  • Cornerstone 3.5.5

This latest release contains fixes for several issues so be sure to check out the changelog (http://theme.co/changelog/).

_After doing the updates, always remember to clear all caches (if you are using WP Rocket, WP SuperCache or W3 Total Cache) when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.-

If you have a custom template in the child theme, there maybe some codes or JS codes which may be the cause of the issue. We would love to check your site. If you can provide us access to your site that would be great. Please create a secure note and insert your WP credentials when you replay. Thank you in advance.

Why aren’t these lastest versions showing up on the site?

Hey @visinno,

Your site is using X theme 6.5.5 and Cornerstone 3.5.4. You may have installed a caching plugin or that your hosting provider has a caching mechanism which maybe the cause why the site is not displaying the latest version.

Hope this helps.

I have cleared the cache and spoke to the hosting company. They are not seeing the newest version on their end. Can you advise?

Hello @visinno,

To assist you better with this issue, would you mind providing us the url of your site with login credentials so we can take a closer look? This is to ensure that we can provide you with a tailored answer to your situation.

To do this, you can create a secure note with the following info:
– Link to your site
– WordPress Admin username / password

To know how to create a secure note, please check this out: https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/how-to-get-support/288

Thank you.

Hey Krina,

The given credentials do not work for us.
The password seem invalid.

Please double check it.

Hi @visinno,

I’m able to determine the cause of this issue, it’s the WP Lead Plus X and it causes javascript error that prevents the carousel from working. Please deactivate that and test it again, but make sure to clear your WPEngine cache after deactivating it and before testing.

Thanks!
