Essential Grid Lightbox Image Error

Hi there, I’m having issues on my site where once a gallery image is clicked, you have to press twice to go to the next image. I’ve tried on mobile, multiple browsers, and even using the keyboard to go through the gallery but can’t seem to troubleshoot it. Any help you can provide is appreciated!

Hi there, thanks for the login details. It certainly allowed us to figure out the problem.

Okay, so here’s the cause:

You needed to navigate he lightbox twice because the images are duplicated. That means for every image, there are two of them there. The cause is a setting on the skin.

The skin being used by the Street Photography Grid is named “Gallery.” And both the “cover” and the plus icon are hyperlinked.

According to Theme Punch, the creators of Essential Grid, this will cause duplication of images http://www.themepunch.com.cach3.com/index.html@p=8831.

To solve the problem, we need to remove one of them. I would suggest that you remove the link on the plus sign and retain the link on the cover because I assume you want the lightbox to appear when the entire image is clicked.

To do that, follow these steps:

  1. Expand Layer Settings
  2. Click the “Link/SEO” tab.
  3. Select “None” on the Link To dropdown.

Now I already did these steps and the duplicated images on the grid on http://www.thatfredgirl.com/gallery/street-photography/ is already fixed. I’m just sharing the steps to fixing it in case you encounter the same thing in the future.
