Essential Grid filters not showing

I recently made a new post type and added it to an essential grid and the posts show up fine but the filter shows up but doesn’t show any of the options it is supposed to. I had a similar problem a while back that got fixed

and it still works for normal posts but not my custom post type.

I will add a note with login details and some more info.

Hi @EricDF94,

Thanks for reaching out.

The filter is displaying this time and not hidden. The reason other options aren’t displaying is that you didn’t select them. What you selected is just the Buy/Sell Skins.

Try toggling on the Buy/Sell skins in the filter, and it displays okay since it’s selected from the source section.

Thanks!

Hmm that’s strange because on a different grid it worked fine with only one category. The grid on this page

https://digixid.com/skin-gambling/

is called “Skin Gambling” and only pulls from the category “Skin Gambling” but all the filters still show up.

The problem doing it the way you suggested would be that some pages haves a tag (for example CSGO) but don’t belong in the Buy/Sell Skins grid they would get pulled in order to allow CSGO as a filter.

Hi @EricDF94,

The filters are dependent on selected categories or taxonomy and it’s been like that. And the one here https://digixid.com/skin-gambling/ is different. You’re using a shortcode to display a filter. The one on that page uses an actual grid filter assigned to the area. If that’s what you’re trying to achieve then you should do it exactly the same, using shortcodes.

Example,

instead of this

And I’m not sure about CSGO don’t belong to Buy/Sell skins, I edited an item and it’s assigned to both.

The item is a Buy/Sell skins and the supported skins is for CSGO. Does that mean you’re adding the CSGO as supported skin but not for Buy/Sell skins? If yes, then you don’t have to assign Buy/Sell Skins as well.

Thanks!

Adding the filter via shortcode seemed to do what I wanted. Thanks a ton for the help!
