Essential Grid Featured Image Cropped

Hello.
On my dev site, dev.realtoolwiz.com , Home page.
How to Use a Shop Vac for Water.
Essential Grid.

No matter how I size the image it continues to get cropped at the top.

Hi Robert,

Please add this code in X > Theme Options > CSS:

.home .entry-featured a.entry-thumb {
    background-size: contain;
}

Hope this helps.

Jade,
Thank you for your reply.

I am unable to access the options menu from X Theme Options CSS.
I have worked on two different browsers, and no add blocks.
Here are a couple of images of lack of access to the app.

I start on Image 3

Image 1 just spins

Image 2 links are inactive.

Hey Robert,

Thank you for the screenshots. Actually those links are not inactive but it’s their default styling. To launch the Theme Options simply click on the Options button (see screenshot)

If it’s not working for you then please check for the following first:

  1. Ensure everything is up to date according to our version compatibility list at https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/troubleshooting-version-compatibility/195. Please follow the best practices when updating your theme and plugins. See https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/setup-updating-your-themes-and-plugins/62 for more details.

  2. If you’re using a caching plugin, clear all caches including browser cache then deactivate your caching plugin and other optimization plugins.

  3. If you’re using a CDN, please clear the CDN’s cache and disable optimization services.

  4. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

  5. Deactivate your child theme and switch to parent theme (take a complete backup first).

  6. Contact your host to increase your allocated memory or do it yourself by adding this code in your wp-config.php (see https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/troubleshooting-increasing-php-memory-limit/16935)

define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M' );
define( 'WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '512M' );

If you still have problems kindly get back to us with the result of the steps above and URL/User/Pass of your WordPress dashboard using the Secure Note functionality of the post to follow up the case.

Thanks.

That did it. Deactivating all plug ins. Some were installed by a developer who I contracted with to get the Theme going. He added some things I had not see before.

Glad to hear that. Have a great day! :slight_smile:
