Error editing in Cornerstone and updating Cornerstone plugin

We’re experiencing problems editing pages in Cornerstone, and we get an error when we try to update the plugin.

Thanks for writing in! First check your WordPress file permissions (https://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_File_Permissions) and try updating your Cornerstone plugin again.

The second option would be to disable and delete your Cornerstone plugin from the WordPress plugins section. This will not remove any of your data such as Cornerstone Pages & Posts in WordPress, so you’re safe to delete the plugin. Once you delete the Cornerstone plugin, then head over to X -> Validation section of your WordPress and wait for few seconds to install the latest version Cornerstone plugin automatically.

Third option you have is to manually install the Cornerstone plugin. Once you download the latest version of X theme from your Envato account and unzip the main folder x_package you will see x.zip theme file. Once you extract x.zip file, you can locate the cornerstone.zip plugin file under /x/framework/cornerstone.zip. You can use that plugin file to install Cornerstone through your WordPress plugins section.
