Envira gallery - The request cannot be loaded

When opening Envira gallery images (Lightbox?) I got “The request cannot be loaded. Please try again later”. What is wrong with that script? And images are not loading… It is included in Your package…

Well, it solves - kinda - I already tried this, tried all I could find online. It solves error, but opens every image individually in new page - not exactly the way to view gallery. Envira says that they have update - maybe you have an updated version available?

Ok, forget it, Envira gallery is just biggest piece of shit plug-in ever developed - have no idea how so advanced guys like You still uses this piece of crap. Newest iphones even cant load in those galleries, chrome crashes every second time, server goes to error, galleries are not showing random pictures in Lightbox mode. Just why this shit?

The same happens with Soliloquy slider - the same developer probably. No changes are effective and can be saved - this happens on screen - “Sorry, that didn’t work. Please try again or come back later.500 Error. Internal Server Error.” What is wrong with those products, can anyone answer?

Besides, plugin lacks options, there is no lightbox available.

An error 500 or internal server error could be a fatal error. Could you please activate Envira Gallery again and enable the debug mode. You can do this by opening wp-config.php and adding


define('WP_DEBUG', true);

/* That's all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */

When you revisit the page, you should have some error output describing the issue in more detail.

Soliloquy could work better for me to be honest, but its a free version added to our packages. Is there a way to get a version with Lightbox so I dont need to buy it for 99$? I could try to integrate it correctly… Or maybe You know something similar?

Hi @Uldis,

Unfortunately, It’s an addon that requires a license from them. It’s their own restriction so any theme that has that plug-in will not able to fetch or get it from their server.

Oh, ok. Maybe you can advise something similar that works with X theme and is cheaper than that? I just need pictures to be sliding and then can be opened and viewed as pictures… ?

Hi Uldis,

Unfortunately, I’m not familiar with other plugins. But I personally recommend Essential Grid as it has its own lightbox too. Or slider revolution plugin for sliding, which you could also use as carousel , example https://www.themepunch.com/faq/create-logo-carousel-using-revolution-slider/, https://www.themepunch.com/faq/using-fancybox-with-slider-revolution/
