Envira Gallery not working after WP update

Hello Apex Support,

I’m still in the middle of building my new website and haven’t worked on it for a good 6 months - updated WP and now my Envira galleries are not working?

I get this error message… see below

Hi Ben,

Thanks for writing in! The mb_detect_encoding error is usually related to GD library extension in PHP. Please contact your hosting service provider and ask them to install the latest version of the GD library for PHP.

That is something the hosting service provider should do and you most probably do not have permission to install the GD library.

Also please make sure that you update the Envira Gallery to the latest supported version which is mentioned here (https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/troubleshooting-version-compatibility/195).
