Envira Gallery Alternatives

Hi special people!

So, we have submitted several topics about our envira gallery problems. We’ve had help on your end and envira gallery’s end, and what they have resorted to, is that it may be a theme or plugin conflict. We have been advised from their support to deactivate all plugins, including x theme, to see if there is a conflict.

The problem is, we love X theme, and we need all of our current plugins to run our business, and we have hundreds of visitors to our site a day, so putting our site offline just to see if a gallery works is just not possible.

We are an exclusive event company and need to post our pictures of our events in galleries on our site. We purchased the pro version of Envira Gallery, thinking that it was a good fit for us because it was already bundled into the theme, but we are extremely frustrated that it is not working and have been trying to trouble shoot this for weeks.

The problem is that we can make galleries, but when we make an album, and add more than one gallery to the album, it comes up as a blank page. Not sure why this is the case, but we need to move forward with other solutions.

Does anyone have an recommendations for an alternative gallery that works well with X theme?

Hi Kara,

Please consider that we officially bundled the Envira gallery in our theme. This should not be happening and if there is a problem regarding the usage of the gallery and our theme we will address that and you will be in contact with the developers of the plugin.

We strongly suggest that you move your website to a staging server or your local machine and do the tests below:

  1. As you say you see a blank page it shows that the WordPress is not in a debug mode and you can not see the actual error. Please enable the debug mode so that instead of a blank page you will see the actual error which will help us understand the problem cause.
  2. Try to use our Gallery version which can be installed from X/Pro > Validation page.
  3. Ensure everything is up to date according to our version compatibility list here. Please follow the best practices when updating your theme and plugins. Click here for more information.
  4. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third-party plugins, and see if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
  5. Remove custom CSS and Javascript from the options and/or Child Theme and test the case.
  6. If you’re using a CDN, please clear the CDN’s cache and disable optimization services.
  7. Increase the PHP Memory Limit of your server. Click here for more detailed information and how to increase the PHP memory limit.

We strongly recommend that you keep using the Envira Gallery as it is the only guaranteed one which will work the theme and we will do our best to make sure the problem you are experiencing get fixed.

kindly get back to us with the result of the steps above and URL/User/Pass of your staging server WordPress dashboard using the Secure Note functionality of the post to follow up the case if you still have problems.

Thank you.
