EG- PRO 3.04 insta stream issue

Hi there,

Are you guys aware of any new bugs with version 3.04 and EG Insta?

I installed it here, and I’m receiving an error 400:

Response code is 400. Body: Bad request Something went wrong. Please report issue.

Any advice?

Thank you for reaching out to us. I tested the Essential Grid (v 2.3.3) plugin in Pro 3.0.4 and the Instagram stream works fine on my end. Make sure you’re using the latest version of Essential Grid plugin which is 2.3.3. If the problem persists then please check for the following:

  1. Ensure everything is up to date according to our version compatibility list at https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/troubleshooting-version-compatibility/195. Please follow the best practices when updating your theme and plugins. See https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/setup-updating-your-themes-and-plugins/62 for more details.

  2. If you’re using a caching plugin, clear all caches including browser cache then deactivate your caching plugin and other optimization plugins.If you’re using a CDN, please clear the CDN’s cache and disable optimization services.

  3. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins except Essential Grid plugin, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

  4. Remove custom CSS, JavaScript and deactivate your child theme and switch to parent theme (take a complete backup first).

Hi there,

  1. Made sure.
  2. No caching turned on.
  3. Tested, only EG is on, the issue persists.
  4. Removed custom JS. (in Theme Options, no difference) (also switched to main theme)

Hi @Pbalazs89,

I see similar issues even on older versions so it’s not just for 3.0.4 and usually, your site is unable to communicate with Instagram server anymore which I’m not sure the reason. Please check this https://stackoverflow.com/questions/11872827/instagram-error-code-400-error

I did some testing and it seems not fixable on-site ends, and can’t be fixed even with coding. Perhaps you can reach out with Instagram developer since the error is visible?

I’ll continue testing as well.
