I am using the recent post element and ACF plugin. I would like to know where to find the code for the recent post element is so I can edit it and add a field I created (I dont need help with the edit, just need to know where to look).

I also dont know if this is in the scope of support, but it would be cool if I could duplicate the recent post element to have two different versions of it available (one edited and one not).

Hi there,

There is no way to edit the recent post element without losing the changes in the future when Cornerstone updates. Instead, I suggest that you create a custom element off of recent posts element and do your customization there. It is surely out of the support scope but we have a good article to get you started:
