hi
I remember there used to be an interface to generate short codes. I hope to not have to write them each by hand…
for example in this text box https://www.screencast.com/t/QJIehbvgdU8s . Is there any button that can lead me to that screen where I chose which short-code, and then specify the options?
Why not have a way to instantly copy the short code that generates any element on the screen? so that i can go ahead and generate what i need, then copy the short code, and then paste that shortcode inside other elements? this would be great for example to put a video on the back of a card or inside an accordion tab
The button to insert shortcode is discontinued in the content builder because it doesn’t work with V2 elements. It can be re-enabled for the WordPress post editor by going to “[X/Pro/Cornerstone] > Settings” in the dashboard.
Unlike classic elements, with those all options available on version 2 elements, we cannot just use shortcode to reuse it. Version 2 elements generates shortcode with ID to identify all options that you have added on the specific element. To reuse it, we have plans for Template Manager for Pro and Cornerstone. For more information about this feature see this:

Right now i need to lift a whole section to be put inside an accordion, and since the text code is not at all indented for clarity, hoping to copy bits in / out is a nightmare. I really wish putting things inside other things was a million times easier. X is not a great experimentation platform because once things are set it’s hard to move things around.
How about being able to copy / paste multiple items? How about an easy way to swap the content of two columns? This is the next layer of achievement for you guys I guess…
With the new implementation of the preset feature, it’s not possible since those shortcodes will be only available to where it’s added (the current page). As for moving, I think you can do that, just drag the element from one column to another. Or drag the whole column, please check this video
