Hello,

Is it possible to have a different sidebar depending on the blog article categories?

Yes, it’s very much possible to display different sidebar based on different categories. Please do following:

  1. From Appearance > Sidebars create a new sidebar.

  1. Under All Taxonomies select the category wherein you want to display the sidebar.
  2. From Appearance > Widgets add the relevant widgets for the sidebar.
  3. Under Posts > All Posts create a new post and select the category wherein the post should be categorised (please note that this category should be the same as step 2).

You can also take a look at following tutorial if you wish to have more flexibility. The article uses a 3rd party plugin.
