Customizer Preview Refuses To Load

The customizer preview doesn’t work whenever I’m trying to edit my theme.

From what I remember from when I first started customizing the theme, there would be a picture of the website, and as you ran through the options on the left-hand side, Font, Typography, etc, you could see the changes in real-time.

However, now, there is just the “X-Theme” logo and I can’t see my website in the customizer. What’s going on here?

Can anybody help me out?

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for writing in! In early versions, customizer was accessible through Appearance -> Customize area. In recent versions, it has been moved under X -> Theme Options area.

So please make sure that you’re using the latest version of X theme and Cornerstone plugin by referring to our version numbers here (https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/troubleshooting-version-compatibility/195) and then you can update your theme and plugins if required (https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/setup-updating-your-themes-and-plugins/62).

If you have customizer loading issues, please go through our troubleshooting guide here (https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/troubleshooting-theme-options/196). You can try increasing your PHP memory limit if required, by following our guide here (https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/troubleshooting-increasing-php-memory-limit/16935).

Let us know how it goes.
Thanks!

It says the latest version supported is 6.4.3, and I have 6.4.6 installed. Is that the problem here? How do I download 6.4.3?

Hello Andrew,

Thanks for updating the thread.

I think there’s some confusion over here. There is no need to downgrade X Theme and Cornerstone. I have notified our concerned department regarding the version number mismatch in version compatibility guide. I checked the website that’s listed on your licence page and can see that you are using latest version of X Theme and Cornerstone. I also suggest you to test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third-party plugins, and see if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

In case issue is still there, please share website login details in secure note for us to take a closer look.

Thanks.
