Customizer Not Showing Detailed Configs for WooCommerce

Hi there,

I do not know if this is theme-related problem but under Appearance > Customizer, I cannot customize a single Product Page of WooCommerce. I am watching a youtube video about product page customization. Under Customize > WooCommerce I should be able to customize single product pages, cart page, check out page, but I cannot.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you.

Hello Gunes,

Thanks for writing in!

I checked the Customizer and on my dev Pro Theme setup I am able to make the changes. Please try out following solutions and let us know the outcome:

  1. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third-party plugins, and see if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
  2. If you’re using a CDN, please clear the CDN’s cache and disable optimization services.
  3. Increase the PHP Memory Limit of your server. Click here for more detailed information and how to increase the PHP memory limit.

If you still have problems kindly get back to us with the result of the steps above and URL/User/Pass of your WordPress dashboard using the Secure Note functionality of the post to follow up the case.

Thank you.

Hi Prasant,

  1. I deactivated the 3rd party plug-ins
  2. I think I am not using a CDN - I do not know what it is.
  3. I increased the PHP limit from 512MB to 1024MB
But still I’m not able to edit with the Woocommerce pages with full functionality.

You can find my user name and pass on the secure note.

Can I use a secondary theme to edit the WooCommerce pages? I understand that PRO has very limited functionality, when it comes to editing WooCommerce pages.

Thanks.

I am getting this error:

"Your theme (Pro) contains outdated copies of some WooCommerce template files. These files may need updating to ensure they are compatible with the current version of WooCommerce. Suggestions to fix this:

  1. Update your theme to the latest version. If no update is available contact your theme author asking about compatibility with the current WooCommerce version.
  2. If you copied over a template file to change something, then you will need to copy the new version of the template and apply your changes again."

Hi Gunes,

Can you send us a link of that video so we can understand what customization you’re looking for? Please check the date of the documentation/video that you’re referencing it might be outdated and the settings that you’re looking for is already removed.

The options you see in the Appearance > Customize > WooCommerce is native to Wordpress so even if you switch to a Wordpress default theme that ain’t going to change. Those are the only options you have in there.

PRO has the WooCommerce options under Pro > Theme Options > WooCommerce but I’m not sure if that is the settings that you’re looking for.

Regarding the error “Your theme (Pro) contains outdated copies of some WooCommerce template files.” please ignore that, the current WooCommerce version that is supported by the latest version of PRO and X is 3.6.2, and the WooCommerce template files that we have on the Theme is from that version, so you get that error but it should not do harm on your site. But if you want to get rid of that error please follow the guide below.

Hope it helps,
Cheers!

Hi Friech,
Thanks for your reply.
Here is the youth video I am talking about:

When you open it, go to 31:40. You will see that there are much more menu items and customization than I have.
Thanks
Gunes

Hello Gunes,

Thanks for showing the video. This video is not using X or Pro theme. Please be advised that each theme has its own set of features, layouts, and settings. This is why in the video it has more settings compared to what we have in our theme. If you switch over to Twenty Nineteen theme you’ll have different settings either.

Hope this explains it briefly.

RueNel, Thank You!

You are most welcome.
