Custom Post Header layout help needed

Hello, I need some help matching a blog layout that was done by a different developer for my client using the “X” theme.
My client has asked me to create a new site for them for another product they are offering.
I’m using “Pro” on the new website. The website for the most part is completed. I’m on the last stage of the new site and that is the Blog section.

It boils down to wanting a dynamic custom header section (Image & Page Title) for each blog page. You can see an example at the following URL - https://www.myprorenal.com/blog/
This is the example of what I’m trying to achieve. I have backend access to this site if needed.

Only the first two blog articles have custom images in the header section
https://www.myprorenal.com/blog/6-tips-for-healthy-holidays-on-a-dialysis-diet/
https://www.myprorenal.com/blog/fall-flavors-kidney-health/
all of the rest just have a similar background image with the dynamic page title in the header section of the post.

If you don’t mind please review the URL above and give me your thoughts about how I can achieve this same type of result using the “Pro” theme on the new site I’m working on.

If you would like to see what I’m working on for the new site I can supply you with the login credentials for the
password protected directory. I just thought I would start with the example of what I’m trying to achieve first. Any help is appreciated.

Hi Scott,

That could be achieved with the Global Block & Dynamic Content feature.

  • Create a global block with a section & headline element.

  • The background image of section should be the featured image of post:

  • The headline should be the post title:

  • Then create a header for the posts only and add that global block to this header:

For more information, please take a look at these articles:

Hope it helps

Could you explain how to select the background image of the Global Block section to the Post Featured image. I can’t find that option anywhere. Please advise!

I had to update to the latest version of Pro and now I’m able to see how to get the Post Featured image. I may have more questions as I go. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction.

You’re most welcome. Let us know how it goes!
