Custom Footer Not Showing on iPhone

Hi! I’m working on this site: https://2020.lynncomo.com/

I created a custom footer using one of your templates. It looks great on my laptop computer, but when I look on my iphone, it’s displaying the “faux logo” and navigation items from the template - it’s not picking up how I changed it. Why would this be happening? PLMK - thanks!

Hey Jennifer,

It’s highly likely that you didn’t update the mobile version of the footer. Try activating the Responsive Viewer of the builder and toggle between different screen sizes.

The mobile logo shows only on mobile screens and the feature allowing that to happen is the Hide During Breakpoints. For more details about that feature, please see https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/hide-during-breakpoint-explained/17378

Hope that helps.

Really? There’s no way to create one footer and let the responsive nature of the theme deal with how it renders? Or are you saying that I really have to create 5 versions of the same footer? Please confirm - thanks

Hey Jennifer,

I’ve answered your question based on your current setup or more specifically, why the faux logo is still present on mobile.

Our template was set up that way in order to show the user that you can change the logo to a different one based on screen size.

It’s not necessary to set up 5 different versions of your footer per screen size nor to use the Hide During Breakpoints feature all the time. The rendering will depend on what you need and your knowledge of Flexbox. Flexbox is the main layout “engine” of the Header and Footer builders and depending on your builder configuration, you’ll have a responsive header and footer without using the Hide During Breakpoints feature.

Thanks.
