Custom 404 page / Google Indexing error

Recently google has notified me that my custom 404 page https://scphotography.co.uk/404-page-not-found/ is not indexable… a soft 404 error! I’ve double check the pro plugin and the ‘use page’ option is selected with the right page. The page displays fine and if you enter an incorrect page URL, the custom 404 error page is corrected displayed.

The index issue started on the 25th February… nothing has changed on my site, except updates.

I’ve asked google to re-try, but its come back as a problem again! any ideas, help… please

Thanks for writing in! This issue is more on the custom 404 page and the code 200 success level. There is a pending task in our bug tracker that relates to this. Soft 404 is explain what is all about from here: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/181708?hl=en
