As per this from the April update - “We are currently leaning towards going in the direction of the CSS grid spec, but playing around with various implementations.”
How’s progress? Is this a soon to be implemented thing?

It’s difficult for me to comment on the feature addition in a release as I am not in that position. However in the current release as per the latest status report we are currently in the process of bringing Grid element into the builder (we are discussing with the community members and beta testers).
