Correct Update

Hello,

I am using the child theme of X.
I think I didn’t really understand what to do to update in the correct way with X and Wordpress as well.

The X version (or X-Child Version?) is 6.1.6, there are automatic updates, checked every 12 hours but the latest version available is 6.2.5.
What am I doing wrong?

Do I have to change to the parent theme, update this and than back to child theme …?

Hi Ingo,

Thanks for writing in! I have checked your setup and I see that you have installed child theme correctly. Updates are only for parent X theme and you use child theme to keep your customizations separately. So that when you update X theme, your child theme customizations will not be overwritten.

To update X theme, head over to Dashboard -> Updates section (in your case, Dashboard -> Aktualisierungen).

Then select your X theme and click on update.
