Cornerstone update broke Portfolio

I recently updated to version 5.2.3 and my portfolio grid now doesn’t work. I just get a loading animation where the grid should be. I tested deactivating plugins to see what was the offending item and it turns out to be cornerstone. It seems that cornerstone has been causing issues for many users for some time now. Its made an otherwise solid theme very unreliable.

How can I create an immediate fix for this? I can’t afford to be without my portfolio. If I deactivate Cornerstone then all of the styling on my projects/posts is a mess.

  • WordPress Admin username / password

Today the site seemed to start functioning correctly. No idea why as I had made no further changes since encountering the problem.

This issue can now be considered resolved.
