After I updated my Cornerstone a few weeks ago I noticed some issues for real time updating while in editing. I haven’t found any fixes on google for this problem.
Logged in to build a page with Cornerstone today and it won’t load at all. Anyone find a fix?
Hi there
This solved my problem:
Reset your htaccess file by renaming it to .htaccess-bak. Then in WP Admin Menu, go to Settings > Permalinks and just click the Save Changes button.
Thank you for the suggestion. I tried it and unfortunately nothing changed. Cornerstone opens with a content menu and doesn’t budge from there. It’s been this way ever since the new version of cornerstone launched. I’d like to go back to the old version, frankly.
Has anyone found a fix to this. I am having the same issue and have not been able to update any page on the site since around this same time as well.
We are having the same problem. I can open my pages in cornerstone but half the elements never open. I just see swirling circles.
I’ve deactivated all plugins (xc cornerstone). Changed htaccess-bak, turned off supercache at siteground, added code to wp-access about timing. gone through all the support help files and tried everything suggested.
this all started when i updated x and cornerstone and downloaded a new theme.
Now what do i do? it’s been two weeks. I need to update my site.
Cornerstone’s just stopped working for me too. Tried numerous suggested solutions from testing plug ins, upping memory, renaming htaccess etc, etc but nothing works. Just get the black circle and Cornerstone doesn’t initiate. I’m hoping to get an answer from the support team soon.
This morning I installed a fresh version Wordpress along with the latest version of X and Cornerstone on my server and still the same issues.
I then deleted X theme and plug in and reinstalled an earlier version of X that I had on file from June ( with Cornerstone 2.0.5). Still the same issue.
Thought it could be a Wordpress 4.9.2 compatibility issue so reverted back to earlier Wordpress version - still not working.
Error message I’m getting is…
PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /public_html/pat/wp-content/plugins/cornerstone/assets/dist-app/js/cs-vendor.js on line 61956
This is the php in the script from line 61955 to 61957
startFormat: function(){
return "<?xml version=\"1.0\" encoding=\"utf-8\"?><checkstyle>";
},
Can anyone can shed any light on this please - it’s way above my coding ability;)
im not really website creating/designing savvy.
Could you elaborate on how I can accomplish this?
Would truly appreciate it!
Many thanks,
I have the same problem. Cornerstone just stopped working. Then I tried my plugins. I had to shut off WP supercashe, bitly, and easy gallery pro. I could then edit in pro. Now all I can do is edit what I have already created. I cannot create a page and add rows, columns or even access to put in text, image video etc. Did they change something about how to edit in conerstone/pro?
I’m having the same problem. I can’t build my website because Cornerstone is not working. I see this thread’s been open for days and still no reply. If I had known this I wouldn’t have bought this theme for my last website because I need to launch it now
I’m in the same boat you all are in. THEMECO where are you at?!
This is the peer to peer forum so they may not check it very often. Are you all getting the same error as @redfour above in your webserver error logs when you try to edit something with Cornerstone? I can’t reproduce the issue anywhere but I might be able to help fix it. What version of PHP are you on?
Hi there! I’ve asked for help on a new thread and they’re having a look at it. You can all read it here.
I don’t know how can I see those webserver errors
Hi everyone,
This may sound ridiculous, but I was experiencing the same issue for a while - if you haven’t already tried, update your browser to the lates version then give it a go.
I couldn’t believe how long I was searching for the answer before I tried this!
Just updated reluctantly for a separate issue and now cornerstone isn’t working at all… ugh.
According to the post linked previously you should make sure your PHP execution time is set to 120 or higher and follow the steps in this post (which basically says to be sure to set a page title and save the draft or publish the post before editing it with Cornerstone:
This was an update from the old/classic version. Doesn’t work on previously created pages or new ones. I’ve also upped the max_execution_time to 120… still not working. It’s just blank. Like you click on “Section” and the inspector is blank.
The weird thing is that some of the classic element seem to work fine. So clearly this is to do with the updated cornerstone/pro builder version.
