Cornerstone Stopped Working For Site

Hello,

After my domain name was changed to a new one (same web hosting), I’m unable to use Cornerstone. I have used a URL replacer plugin to update the domain. To troubleshoot this problem, I have already deactivated the cache and tried disabling plugins one by one. However, nothing has worked. I’m hoping for some assistance. Much appreciated.

Hello @edwinfu,

Thanks for asking.

I am unable to access your website and getting (please see secure message for error message).

Thanks.

Hello Prasant, I have resolved the problem on my end (it was due to cloudflare). Could you try accessing the website again? Thanks!

Hi,

I checked and your site is no longer redirecting and cornerstone seems to be working fine as too.

When using cloudflare, you can try adding this page rule.

Hey @edwinfu,

Upon checking, Cornerstone is working in your site. Is there a specific page that doesn’t work?

You earlier said that the issue happened after migration and you used a URL replacer. If that URL replacer is just simple like the Velvet Blues plugin, that won’t update URLs inside the Cornerstone built page.

You will need to follow this migration guide at https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/cornerstone-content-builder-migration/126/1

Thanks.

Hello Christian,

Cornerstone doesn’t work on Chrome. It is stuck on an endless loading screen with the Cornerstone icon. This is for all pages I’ve checked, including creating a new one.

For Firefox, I am able to see Cornerstone on pages. However, for specific pages like the Paranormal, Contemporary, Historical and Suspense pages, all the sections are gone. This is strange because you can see the parallax layer with image, even without any sections. How can this be?

The site has already been migrated. Is there some way for me to update URLs inside the Cornerstone built page manually? The migration was done by hostgator tech support, so I’m not even sure how to reverse the process. I used the Better Search Replace plugin to update all of the URLs from the old domain (romancepup.com)

Thanks for the help so far

Hi There @edwinfu

I have checked loading your pages in Chrome and I did not experience any issues (see secure note below). This could be your browser related caching issue issue as well. Could you please try switching to Incognito mode on Chrome and re-test your issue further. You can refer to the following resource if required (https://www.lifewire.com/incognito-mode-google-chrome-4103635).

With regard to URL changing possibilities, please refer to our migration guide here (https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/cornerstone-content-builder-migration/126). Other option would be to search your database manually and change your old URLs.

Let us know how it goes.
Thanks!

Thank you. I had to redo the template blocks and pages, but it seems to be resolved.

Glad it works now and you’re most welcome!

Hello,

I’m experiencing a problem with changing my site header. The header was displaying fine previously, but when I tried to change to a new one, the header is stuck on 48 x 48 pixels and doesn’t show. I can’t even change it back to the original image or any other images. The header I want to implement is the most recent image in my media library.

Additionally, I tried to change from Ethos to Renew and so on, but the header is shown in text form in reverse, which is really strange.

Please help

Hi,

Regretfully, at this time I am not entirely certain what it is you would like to accomplish based on the information you provided. If you wouldn’t mind providing us with a little more clarification on what it is you’re wanting to do (a link to a similar example site would be very helpful, or perhaps some screenshots), we’ll be happy to provide you with a response once we have a better understanding of the situation.

Thanks

Hello Paul,

I have attached an image showing the header image that I am unable to insert (highlighted in red). It seems to be stuck on a 48 x 48 pixel size setting. If you are able to insert an image (ideally the first image in the media library), the problem would be considered solved. I hope that clarifies things. Thanks.

Hi @edwinfu,

It’s known issue from the recent update, please update it again as the patch seems available now. I can confirm that on my installation.

Thanks!

Thank you. It works after the update.

You’re most welcome @edwinfu!

How do I fix this problem?

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 20480 bytes) in /home/a5043i1v5sw6/public_html/wp-content/plugins/cornerstone/includes/elements/classic/_alternate/slider.php on line 43

Hey Jai,

If you are getting an error message that suggests: Fatal error: Allowed memory size of xxxxx bytes exhausted, it means that you need to have the PHP memory limit of your site increased.

To do this, please edit your wp-config.php file and insert these lines:

    define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M' );
    define( 'WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '512M' );

You can add it before the line
/*That's all, stop editing! Happy Blogging. */

Here is a details article about the PHP Memory Limit that is in our Knowledge Base:

In case the issue persists, please try to get in touch with your hosting provider and confirm to them that your PHP memory limit is increased.

Hope this helps.
