Cornerstone page designed but not showing live on site

Hi,

I’ve edited my landing page which was built through cornerstone. However, even though I can see the blocks in Cornerstone editor, the live site shows none of the blocks I have added. But when I make edits to an already designed page not made in cornerstone those changes will be shown on the live site. Do I need to set up a specific kind of template in Wordpress to use Cornerstone for landing pages? Right now my page template only shows the header and footer so I can add what sections I want in the middle with Cornerstone.

Here is the link to the page - http://www.bmhconsultations.com/tester/

Please, advise.

Hello @ieproductions,

Thanks for asking.

There is no need to use specific template for landing pages. Can you please try out following solutions:

  1. I see that you are using W3 Total Cache. Please clear the W3 Total Cache cache and disable optimization services.
  2. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third-party plugins, and see if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
  3. Remove custom CSS and Javascript from the options or Child Theme and test the case.
  4. Reset your htaccess file by renaming it to .htaccess-bak. Then in WP Admin Menu, go to Settings > Permalinks and just click the Save Changes button.
  5. Increase the PHP Memory Limit of your server. Click here for more detailed information and how to increase the PHP memory limit.
  • Make sure that you’re running at least PHP v5.6.x or later to avoid any WordPress related incompatibility issues. If you’re not sure what your server configurations and settings are, install a plugin like WP-Serverinfo (https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-serverinfo/) and check your server info by head over to Dashboard -> WP Serverinfo area.
  • Check your PHP Max Execution Time and set it for 300 for optimal usage.

If you still have problems kindly get back to us with the result of the steps above and URL/User/Pass of your WordPress dashboard using the Secure Note functionality of the post to follow up the case.

Thank you.

Hi There,

Thank you for the credentials, looks like the “Page Templates” that comes with your theme (You’re So Vein version 1.0) is not compatible with Cornerstone. Please use the “Default Template” for your pages that is built in Cornerstone instead.

Cheers!

Thanks. One more question. Almost all the themes I use in Wordpress are custom themes. Is there a way to make my custom themes compatible with cornerstone?

Thanks!
