Cornerstone not working tried deactivating cloudfare

Cornerstone won’t load, icon keeps spinning. I read cloudfare could be the issue. I deactivated cloudfare and it did not resolve the problem. Any ideas what is causing this problem?

Hi @jmonroe08,

Thank you for writing in, please do the following

  • Ensure that you are fully up to date. WordPress, Theme, and Cornerstone (Version Compatibility)

  • Clear all the site caches (plugin, server-side, CDN, and browser’s cache) so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors. Please deactivate this caching features while we tackle this issue.

  • Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

  • Remove custom Javascript and custom templates (if any).

Regarding the CloudFlare, did you Purge All the cache directly from your CloudFlare’s account dashboard? If not, please follow this post.

If the issue persists, please provide us the site URL and credentials in a Secure Note so we can take a closer look.

Let us know how it goes,
Cheers!

Thank you! Everything is up to date, the cashes are all cleared, and I deactivated cloudfare. It’s still not working but I’m afraid to deactivate plugins and loose all of my current plugin settings. Do you have any suggestions?

Thank you!

UPDATE: SG Optimizer was causing the problem. I had to deactivate a few of the front end optimization settings within the plugin and now it is fixed. Thank you!

We are delighted to assist you with this. Remember to clear all your caching features (plugin, server-side, CDN, and browser’s cache) after updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.

Cheers!
