Cornerstone not working no preview available

I am trying to work in cornerstone and the preview will not load. I keep getting the message -
“The preview could not load. This is most often related to a plugin conflict or aggressive page cacheing. Checking the developer console for errors could indicate what went wrong”. I have deactivated all plugins & didn’t change anything. I’m also not sure what the developer is. Also my images are not loading into the media library. It is saying there is a http error. My site is not really working properly at all. I tried installing demo content thinking that this might help but it didn’t…lost TIA

Hello @Kat_star33,

Thanks for writing in!

In the error message, developer console relates to browser dev tools. If you would like to learn more then please take a look at following resource. https://developers.google.com/web/tools/chrome-devtools/

Upon checking the website, please try out following solutions and let us know the outcome:

  1. Increase the PHP Memory Limit of your server. Click here for more detailed information and how to increase the PHP memory limit.
  2. I see that you are using Endurance cache which is provided by hosting company. Please clear the cache and also get in touch with the hosting support team to clear the cache to avoid any conflicts.

If you still have problems kindly get back to us with the result of the steps above and URL/User/Pass of your WordPress dashboard using the Secure Note functionality of the post to follow up the case.

Thank you.

Hi I’m still having trouble. I have contacted BlueHost to fix the php and the caching alas nothing has changed. I’m not really sure what the link to the developer console is used for and how I apply that to my situation.
I’m not even sure what or where the FTP files are to even begin to fix. Should I uninstall x theme. Is that even possible. I was wanting to rebuild anyway. My site has never worked properly from the start which could so be me…actually it did work sweet for the first few months and then something happened and it wouldnt function properly…really need some help please. Thank you

Hey @Kat_star33,

I tried to login using the details you have provided but they are incorrect. If you want to start from scratch, it would be okay if you will install X then reinstall it.

If you have reinstalled X and it is still not working, kindly provide us with the correct admin details so that we can check it.

You can get your FTP details from your web host.

Thank you.

Hi Jade
I had to change my password after giving this one to you while someone else looked at it. My site is still not working. If i am to uninstall…I presume that is what you mean…How would I go about doing that? I have already deleted everything off my site trying to get it to work & couldn’t work out how to delete or uninstall x theme. Also php has apparently been fixed & I accessed the FTP files and couldn’t find the file that was suggested. I will leave another secure note. Thanks

Hello @Kat_star33,

Thanks for updating the thread.

Can you please re-confirm the login details as the one you have shared is still not working? In secure note I am sharing the error message.

Thanks.

Oh my goodness I’m soo very confused. Thanks for getting back to me. I think I have it now. I’ll add another SN. Thanks so much

Hi @Kat_star33,

I am able to login. Yes, I can confirm, the preview is not showing anything. See the following errors:

You are having this issue because when the builder is loading, files is still in https. On Settings > General, I can see both domain are http which is correct. You also disable a lot of plugins. If you have https settings before and you set it via plugin, then this plugin are now disabled, there are times that some configurations are still there on wp-config.php file. Please login to your FTP, look for wp-config.php file on the root cause of your installation and then open it using a text editor. Look for any configuration settings that force https. Please remove that line. Note to always save a backup before editing a file.

Hope this helps.

Ok Thanks. I think that has helped. My wordpress page now lets me upload images from media library and build a page but my cornerstone builder is still not working. It won’t let me upload images. I keep getting a HTTP error and/Or it won’t show me a preview. It has been nearly a week without my site. I have deactivated all plugins again as well and then reactivated them. All the FTP ect has been configered. Need help

Hello @Kat_star33,

I have temporarily disabled your W3 Total Cache. Caching plugins are best to turn ON when you are done building the pages and ready to go live.

I also have fixed your SSL issue which was the cause why the Cornerstone preview is not loading.

Please check your site now.

OMG you are amazeballs!!! THank you all is working fine now! Yaaayyyy!!!
Thanks again I so appreciate it

You’re welcome!
We’re glad we were able to help you out.
