Cornerstone not loading since Pro upgrade

Hi,

I moved my website from the test domain to the production domain today and took the opportunity to update all plugins and X Theme too

Everything works, but when I try and load a specific page to edit via Pro, it only partially loads, not all elements load back end (load fine front end) meaning I cant apply text edits. I have checked in Chrome and IE, I just see the page loading icon in the bottom right.

Worked fine before, the only thing changed is I moved the domain and added https (all seems to work fine there) and updated Pro/plugins.

Hello There,

Thanks for writing in! The change made to your https could be the cause of this issue. Please check out this article to make sure that you have done the steps in moving from http to https especially the Method 2.

Hope this helps.

I applied all of those steps and still struggling to load the page in Pro

Hi There,

Could you tell us which pages are not working? I checked some pages and they’re working fine on my end.

Please also follow up the steps below:

  1. Ensure everything is up to date according to our version compatibility list here. Please follow the best practices when updating your theme and plugins. Click here for more information.
  2. Go to X > Settings and click on the Clear Style Cache button.
  3. If you’re using a CDN(ex: CloudFlare), please clear the CDN’s cache and disable optimization services. For the CloudFlare you also need to follow the steps below besides the developer mode: https://xthemetips.com/using-cloudflare-rocket-loader-with-x-pro-and-x5/928/1
  4. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third-party plugins, and see if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
  5. Remove custom CSS and Javascript from the options or Child Theme and test the case.
  6. Reset your htaccess file by renaming it to .htaccess-bak. Then in WP Admin Menu, go to Settings > Permalinks and just click the Save Changes button.
  7. Increase the PHP Memory Limit of your server. Click here for more detailed information and how to increase the PHP memory limit.

Let us know how it goes!

Hi,

I have tried all those, but I am still struggling with this. memory limit increased to 1000 too.

Hey @ocduk,

In your Conference page, the elements that I don’t see in the preview are the Tabs and your map.

For your tabs, please create the content of each tab using the Global Blocks feature. Coding structural shortcodes manually like the column shortcode is not recommended because you can accidentally introduce spaces which will be filled by paragraph tags by WordPress like what happened in your tabs.

For your map, please try a new API key without restrictions.

Thanks.

Thank you, the above allowed me to edit the page for now, but I am still struggling a bit with Pro since I upgraded to the latest version but I am not sure if there problem is linked to the Pro upgrade or my URL move from .net to .org (with https).

The other issue I am having is when I edit in Pro, I am not seeing the changes reflect in the back end window (although they are front end). So for example, lets say I add a text element, I will edit it, but in the Pro window it still shows the default ‘input your text here line’. Even if I save and edit another element it won’t upload the text change until I refresh the page.

Hi @ocduk,

I created a test page and even tested it on your Conference page and I’m able to edit and see the changes I made in text element instead of 'input your text here line'. Would you mind providing a video recording? Please note that you provided the HTTP version of URL, editing that triggers a lof of error since your admin is already configured for HTTPS. Hence, you should only do the editing within the HTTPS page/builder.

Thanks!
