Cornerstone loading slow

Hi team

I entered wordpress to edit the page. However, Cornerstone is taking a long time to load and am not sure what exactly is the issue.

Could you kindly help me?

Please check for the following first:

  1. Ensure everything is up to date according to our version compatibility list at https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/troubleshooting-version-compatibility/195. Please follow the best practices when updating your theme and plugins. See https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/setup-updating-your-themes-and-plugins/62 for more details.

  2. If you’re using a caching plugin, clear all caches including browser cache then deactivate your caching plugin and other optimization plugins.

  3. If you’re using a CDN, please clear the CDN’s cache and disable optimization services.

  4. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

  5. Remove custom CSS, Javascript and templates.

  6. Reset your htaccess file by renaming it to .htaccess-bak. Then in WP Admin Menu, go to Settings > Permalinks and just click the Save Changes button.

  7. Contact your host to increase your allocated memory and max execution time or do it yourself by adding this code in your wp-config.php

define( 'WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '512M' );

We have tried all of the above recommended. We are still unable to get Cornerstone to work. :’( Please help. Thank you.

In that case, please provide your admin login credentials and we’ll check.

Though, I checked your site and still serving the files from cache. I can verify it through the codes, so please clear the caches and disable the cache plugin.

Hi There,

When loading Cornerstone, I see lot’s 404 errors and javascript errors on the console log.

Can you try re-installing your WordPress, X theme and Cornerstone plugins and disable all the other 3rd party plugins and re-test your issue again. You can also check WordPress update guide here (https://codex.wordpress.org/Upgrading_WordPress) and X theme update guide from the above response of this thread.

Would it be possible to send us the list of errors so that we can troubleshoot on our end as well? Thank you!

(Update: we have tried to deconflict the plugins and have not gotten any results. Please help.)

Hi There,

Upon checking your website, I could see that you’ve updated the Cornerstone plugin to the latest version but NOT updated the X theme yet.

Please update your X theme to the latest version as well.
