Cornerstone live preview not working

I am running the cornerstone plugin on a site and after I updated it I can no longer see the live preview. I have tried updating memory, transient cleaner and deactivating all plugins. The site is faithalive.xyz

Hello There,

Thanks for providing the information. I have logged in and checked your server settings. You are using PHP 5.6.38 and your PHP max execution time is only 60s. Please upgrade to PHP 7.2 as what have required to run WordPress (https://wordpress.org/about/requirements/). We would also recommend that you increase your PHP max execution time to at least 300s.

Hope this helps. Please let us know how it goes.

It is working in Chrome now but still doing the same thing in Safari.

Hello There,

Please clear Safari’s browser cache or use private browsing mode. Please also be advised that you must update Safari to the latest version. By the way, we prefer that you use Chrome or Firefox as there are a few issues between Safari and Cornerstone over the past versions.

Hope this helps.

I am having this problem and I feel like I have tried everything. Please help.

Hey @SonyaElsie,

I’d like to let you know first that hijacking of threads is not allowed. Please review our How to Get Support article at https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/how-to-get-support/288

With that said, please open a separate thread and detail what troubleshooting steps you already have applied from the list below:

  1. Ensure everything is up to date according to our version compatibility list at https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/troubleshooting-version-compatibility/195. Please follow the best practices when updating your theme and plugins. See https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/setup-updating-your-themes-and-plugins/62 for more details.

  2. If you’re using a caching plugin, clear all caches including browser cache then deactivate your caching plugin and other optimization plugins.

  3. If you’re using a CDN, please clear the CDN’s cache and disable optimization services.

  4. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

  5. If you’re using a child theme, please switch to the parent theme and also remove custom CSS and Javascript in Theme Options and elsewhere in your site.

  6. Reset your htaccess file by renaming it to .htaccess-bak. Then in WP Admin Menu, go to Settings > Permalinks and just click the Save Changes button.

  7. Contact your host to increase your allocated memory or do it yourself by adding this code in your wp-config.php

define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M' );
define( 'WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '512M' );

If you’ve tried everything in the list above, please give us WordPress Admin and FTP access in the thread.

Thanks.
