Now I tried to adjust the content but whenever I selcet the desired language and edit teh side wit cornertone, the content remains in Germain.

Hello @LittleBigBen,

Thanks for writing in!

It seems that this might be a compatibility issue. Before sending us your login details for further investigation, we would like to you to check these few points first yourself as this may fix your issue:

  1. Ensure everything is up to date according to our version compatibility list here. Please follow the best practices when updating your theme and plugins. Click here for more information.
  2. If you’re using a CDN, please clear the CDN’s cache and disable optimization services.
  3. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third-party plugins, and see if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
  4. Remove custom CSS and Javascript from the options or Child Theme and test the case.
  5. Reset your htaccess file by renaming it to .htaccess-bak. Then in WP Admin Menu, go to Settings > Permalinks and just click the Save Changes button.
  6. Increase the PHP Memory Limit of your server. Click here for more detailed information and how to increase the PHP memory limit.

In case the issue persists, would you mind providing us with your login credentials so we can take a closer look? Please provide the following information and set it as a Secure Note

  • URL of your website
  • WordPress admin username/password

Thank you.

Hi Jumar

thanks for these advices. I went true all six points and the problem, languaed does not switch, persitis.

please note the sides:
https://new.pibella.com/en/about-pibella/retailer-partners/
https://new.pibella.com/pibella-in-kuerze/
which are layouted with cornerstone as well, function perfect.

the issue is on:
https://new.pibella.com/travel/
https://new.pibella.com/comfort/

many thanks and best regards, ben

Hey @LittleBigBen,

I didn’t experience the issue you described. First, I created a test page so I could do some testing without affecting your live pages. Editing different languages work. See https://new.pibella.com/en/test/

I then tested your page https://new.pibella.com/comfort/. It does not have a Japanese version so I made created one from the English version.

I tested further. This time, editing the English version. It worked also.

Please try clearing your browser cache then test again. Also test in incognito mode.

Thanks.

Hi

yes janonese is not translated now. but that’s not the issue.

just go to - as en example - to
https://new.pibella.com/fr/travel/
as you would like to work on the FR site
so edit with cornerstone:
https://new.pibella.com/fr/x/#/content/12867
than you notice, the content remains on DE (German)
even changing the languages with the flags below, lets say to EN
https://new.pibella.com/fr/x/#/content/12842/layout?lang=en
the content stays in DE

so the probelm is I cannot edit “Travel” or “Comfort” in other languages than German, as the language switch dosn’t work.

as I mentioned, the wired thing is, on the page
https://new.pibella.com/en/about-pibella/
also layouted with cornerstone, the language switsch works fine.

please have another look into it, thanks alot and best regards, ben

ps: the site is not live yet and backup is made, so you might check it without to be worried

I see the issue but I’m not sure what happened to your site why the language was set back to German. Regretfully, the only solution I can think of for now is to edit the translations again. Like my previous test, I am able to update different versions.

https://new.pibella.com/travel/

https://new.pibella.com/fr/travel/

https://new.pibella.com/en/travel/

but then again, why does https://new.pibella.com/en/about-pibella/ function well???

Hello, I retranslated these pages and now it’s ok.
just one more little question:
https://new.pibella.com/travel/ has a fade from left to right, which I’d like to deaktivate, but I cannot find the settings anymore.
thanks, ben

Hello there,

I have remove this part of the shortcode and updated the page:

fade_animation="in-from-left" fade_animation_offset="45px" fade_duration="750"

Hope it helps.

Thanks
so to do this I have to go into the source code right, there is no more sttings within the inspector?

Hi There,

You can change or deactivate the fade effect in the setting, no need to go to the source code.
Just click on the column and the follow the setting as per the screenshot.

Thanks

… no way to find it, could it be because it’s a classic element?
anyway, I’ve done it on the source code.
thanks, ben

Hi Ben,

I have taken the screenshot from your website only!

We are glad that you are able to get it done!

Thanks
